No. Anzac Day is a public holiday on 25 April every year, weekend or not — section 4(g) of the Public Holidays Act 2010 gives it no weekend rule at all, unlike Australia Day, which really is moved. What happens instead in 2026 and 2027 is that an extra public holiday is declared for the Monday under section 5.

The difference shows up in a pay run. Someone rostered on Saturday 25 April 2026 has worked a public holiday, and the state also gets Monday the 27th — two days, not one moved day. The Retail Trading Amendment (Anzac Day Trading Hours) Act 2024 changed section 4 of the Retail Trading Act 2008 to read at all times on Anzac Day.
